Khmer Association for Development of Countryside – KAFDOC is a Cambodian Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) located in Kratie Province.
We have expertise in education, healthcare, agriculture, food security, water and sanitation, good governance, human rights, children’s rights, women’s empowerment and gender equality promotion.
KAFDOC works with youth movements to protect children and stop domestic violence, and works to bring about proper hygiene and sanitation in their communities. KAFDOC teaches young people new skills to find work.
Improve citizen’s opportunities to involve their decision making on social activities related to livelihood and their quality of living.
KAFDOC helps to improve communities’ and villages’ living conditions, food security and children’s nutrition, to increase their capacities to raise income.
KAFDOC and its partners work to improve leadership and management skills for local women leaders. KAFDOC promotes local democracy and gender equality.
KAFDOC works in accordance with the Royal Cambodia Government (RCG) on implementing the Child Friendly School (CFS) Policy. KAFDOC works to protect children’s rights, gives grants to schools and builds sanitation, libraries, IT labs, school playgrounds, healthcare, scholarships and other materials such as uniforms, bags, books, bicycles and hygiene products.
KAFDOC helps to understand causes of climate change and how to adapt to it in the future with awareness days and lessons in school. KAFDOC supports intervention activities for communities, such as installing solar panels, planting trees, growing seasonal vegetables and building water wells.
